An influx of Arctic air will generate snow showers and snow squalls creating slippery conditions. It may deliver a coating to an inch of snow or so across the state with snow showers throughout the day. One thing you can bank on: frigid air tonight and Friday, and hanging here through the weekend and into next week, with highs struggling to get to the teens, while early morning lows will bottom out below zero. Even if temperatures don’t go below zero, the wind will make it feel like it’s well below zero from time to time. There is also the chance for more snow by Saturday night into Sunday as yet another clipper will be re-developing off-shore and throwing back snow over all of New England. And as if that’s not enough, wait until the middle of next week when another storm will deliver heavy snow and ice. A brutal February is shaping up across all of New England, for sure. Keep the shovels, snow blowers and plows tuned up as there is the potential for more accumulating snow.
