VERBANIA, Italy — One of the oldest people in the world is sharing her secret to long life.

Emma Morano, 115, told the New York Times that the trick is staying single and eating raw eggs.

Morano eats two raw eggs a day, and she’s been doing so since she was a teenager (back then it was three raw eggs).

She’s been single most of her life after being divorced in 1938.  “I didn’t want to be dominated by anyone,” she said.

The Times reports that Morano is the oldest person in Europe and the fifth oldest in the world.

But don’t rush to end your relationship and get to the grocery store so fast. Correlation doesn’t imply causation.

“You talk to 100 centenarians, you get 100 different stories,” Valter D. Longo, the director of the Longevity Institute at the University of Southern California told the New York Times.

Morano lives alone, but does get help from her family. Her niece comes around once a day to make her food, including those eggs.
