Parents testify on education budget cuts

HARTFORD–On Tuesday evening a hearing was held at the Legislative Office Building regarding the education part of Gov. Malloy’s budget.

At least 15 parents of children who attend charter schools turned out to testify on how the budget cuts would impact their kids’ education.

Some of the children even attended to discuss their individual schools.

More hearings are planned to discuss aspects of the budget.
