SUFFIELD - Entertainment and good intentions will fill Suffield Academy tonight. Students are holding a telethon as part of a year-long effort to raise money for communities across the world.

Nick Alfano and Emily Lowe, both seniors, stopped by Fox CT Thursday to talk about their fundraising efforts for Uganda.

Only the school community is invited to attend but the event will stream online here.

If you would like to donate, call 860-386-4460 from 7-10 p.m.

Students and faculty will be performing by singing, dancing, acting, and video production. All of the donations and proceeds will go directly to an organization out of Uganda, Africa called SPOUTS of Water, where they make water filters to ensure clean drinking water for 13 elementary schools in their area. Their goal is to raise $45,000 throughout the school year.
