BOSTON — Three people who survived the Boston Marathon bombing told jurors how they lost limbs or watched loved ones die after the 2013 attack.

At the federal death penalty trial of bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on Thursday, Roseann Sdoia described how she saw two flashes of white light and then saw her foot dangling from her mangled leg.

She says it was like “starring in a horror movie.”

Bill Richard, the father of an 8-year-old boy who was killed, told of the moment when he realized his son, “severely damaged by an explosion,” wouldn’t make it.

Jeff Bauman, who lost both legs, testified that he locked eyes with one of the bombers shortly before the blasts. Authorities say it was Tsarnaev’s older brother, Tamerlan.

The trial resumes Monday.
