MIDDLETOWN – A fifth student from Wesleyan University has been arrested as a result of the investigation into students overdosing on alleged “party drug” Molly on Feb. 21.

Friday, March 6, Abhimanyu Janamanchi, 21, of Rockville, Maryland, turned himself into Middletown police.

He’s charged with Distribution of a Hallucinogen, Possession of Hallucinogen, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Sell.

Janamanchi was held on a $50,000 bond and is to appear in court later today.

12 students were treated for overdoses. All of them have since been released from the hospital.
