One dead, others injured after serious car crash in Plainville

PLAINVILLE — A woman is dead after a serious head on collision on Saturday night.

Police responded to New Britain Avenue just west of the New Britain/Plainville town line shortly before 9 p.m.

According to police, Roxane Marie Dias, 30, of Plantsville, was driving a Mazda sedan when she collided head-on with a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Marlena Wcislo,25, of New Britain was driving the other vehicle, a Nissan SUV, with her passenger Peter Wcislo, 26, also of New Britain.

The Plainville Fire Company was able to remove Dias from her car. She was then transported via LifeStar to Hartford Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Marlena and Peter Wcislo were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
