PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Investigators in Providence, Rhode Island are trying to figure out what sparked a massive fire Monday night.
The fire started just after 11:30 p.m. on 498 Kinsley Avenue, WPRI reported.
Flames and smoke could be seen pouring into the sky. Eyewitnesses said it appeared the entire block was on fire, WJAR reported.
Video recorded and posted to twitter by the Providence Firefighters Union shows part of the building collapsing and taking down power lines.
No one entered the building, we are doing an exterior attack,” said Providence Fire Chief Clarence Cunha. No one was believed to be inside the building.
WPRI reported that the building was home to the medical marijuana advocacy group, RIPAC.
Fire companies from several surrounding towns were called to help battle the flames.
