SEATTLE- In honor of St. Patrick’s day, the dog lovers website, Rover.com has released the most popular Irish dog naming trends nationwide. From Bailey to Jameson, Clover to Charm,  discover which cities are going green—and see if your dog’s moniker made the cut!

  • Connecticut comes out on top with two cities (Hartford and Bridgeport) in the top 5 for most Irish-inspired dog names overall.
  • Lucky wins the pack as the most popular Irish-inspired name overall.
  • Molly is not only the most popular Irish-inspired female name, it was also the 4th most popular dog name of 2014.
  • New England cities account for 4 of the top 20 cities with Irish themed names (Hartford, Bridgeport, Boston and Providence)
  • All 5 of the most popular Irish dog names are inspired by luck!
  • U.S. compared to Ireland:Liam and Connor are the only names on the Rover.com list that are also Top 10 Baby Names in Ireland
