SHELTON—One year after a Shelton teenager was mysteriously shot and killed while standing in a driveway, State Police are still working to solve the case and find whoever killed 15 year Kristijan Ndoj.

The state is offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in the case. State Police and Shelton Police continue to follow leads.

On March 15, 2014, the Shelton High School sophomore was shot in the head and leg while in the driveway of a house on Agawam Trail.

Kristjan died in the hospital five days after the shooting, and his death was later ruled a homicide. Police believe the shots were fired from the woods across the street.

“It’s hard to fathom where someone would want to hurt a young boy like this, with all this going for him. He didn`t have an enemy in the world, just an all-around great kid,” said Michael Boynton, the Ndoj family attorney.

One year since the murder and no arrests have been made in the case.

Connecticut State Police Lieutenant Paul Vance says state police Major Crime Squad detectives continue to interview witnesses and have developed certain leads.

Early on, there was an investigation of possible threats being made against the teen on social media, but investigators determined there was nothing to substantiate that threat, and continued to hit more dead ends.

“Consider this case a big puzzle. We`ve got the picture of the puzzle almost done, but we`re missing a couple of pieces to close it out and bring it to the next level,” said Lt. Vance.

Investigators are renewing the plea to have anyone with information to come forward.

State Police are reminding people that a $50,000 reward is still being offered to help bring his killer to justice.

“We believe it`s enough to shake the tree and have enough information come out,” Lt. Vance.

Krisijan Ndoj was described as an energetic student and a talented athlete by those at Shelton High School. He was a beloved son to his family who immigrated to the U.S. from Albania when Kristijan was a child, in a quest for a better life.

“Other kids are getting dates to the prom and getting ready to look at colleges and this family can`t,” said Boynton.
