HARTFORD – Fans of Sleepy Hollow have been waiting fearfully for the announcement of whether or not the show would return for a third season.

The series first premiered in 2013 with an erratic fan base which slowly strengthened as the show obtained a more serialized storyline.  Season two was touch-and-go, as fans complained of stagnating plots, saying that it seemed as though the show didn’t know where it was trying to go.

When the announcements for the renewal of Gotham, Empire, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine came without mention of Sleepy Hollow, fans were despondent.  Even more so when the news that showrunner Mark Goffman was leaving after two seasons.

However, as of Thursday, March 19, Sleepy Hollow has been officially renewed for a third season, with new showrunner, Clifton Campbell, who has previously worked on White Collar and The Glades.

Stay tuned for the official season 3 premiere date, sometime in the fall of 2015.
