The next big bad of ‘The Following’ is almost here
HARTFORD – It might be hard to imagine, but Almost Human‘s Michael Ealy is rejoining the FOX community with a series regular role on The Following… and he’s the bad guy.
The announcement was made on November 18, 2014, shortly following the cancellation of Ealy’s drama, Almost Human, describing the new character as a “brilliant, chameleon-like” murderer who’ll test Ryan Hardy’s (Kevin Bacon) limits.
Not much else is known about the character, except that his name is Theo, and he will appear in later episodes. Monday, April 6 marks the mid season episode of The Following season 3, indicating that Ealy’s arrival is tantalizingly close. Not to mention, Twitter has told us that episode 305 wrapped filming on November 19, 2014, the day after the Ealy announcement was made, indicating that somewhere between episodes 6 and 8 his character may very well appear.
Episodes leading up to his reveal have already alluded to his nature, as the Bonnie and Clyde-esque killer couple from the first episodes are clearly terrified of disappointing the big bad, who apparently has a far more sinister end game in mind than Mark Gray’s (Sam Underwood) revenge plot.
Watch The Following Monday nights at 9 p.m. on Fox CT.
