Store employee killed in Bridgeport

BRIDGEPORT - A store employee died after being shot Wednesday morning.

Police responded to T. Market at 1482 Reservoir Ave. at 8 a.m. for a report of shots fired, and found a male store employee with multiple gunshot wounds behind the counter.

Hakeem Joseph, 32, of Bridgeport, was taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they are searching for a black male who was wearing a mask and fled on foot heading east on Reservoir Avenue. They also said they don't think that burglary was the motive behind the attack.

Bridgeport Police released the following surveillance video of the attack. If you recognize anyone in the video, please call Detective Robert Winkler at 203-581-5224.
