HARTFORD -- Eversource utility crews worked for 12 hours to restore power in Hartford and West Hartford after a small underground explosion and fire on Farmington Avenue caused major problems across the grid.
The explosion was at the corner of Farmington and Sisson Avenues.
An estimated 3800 customers were without power in West Hartford and 4200 in Hartford Sunday.
Power was restored to all customers by 5 a.m. Monday, Eversource said.
