Hartford fire in multifamily home ruled arson

HARTFORD – A fire broke out at a multifamily home early this morning on Glendale Avenue.

The fire marshal determined that the fire was caused by arson.

Firefighters responded to the fire around 12:30 a.m. They said the fire started in the basement and then spread to the front porch and top floor of the house. The fire was under control within an hour.

The house was unoccupied at the time. Officials have not been able to contact the owner.

Residents inside the home made it out safe and there are no reported injuries.
