PLAINVILLE – A body was found by hikers Thursday morning.
Police said around 10:30 a.m., hikers on a trail on Pinnacle Mountain in Plainville observed the body of a white middle-aged male at the bottom of a cliff. Police said they have started an untimely death investigation.
The Plainville Fire Department was assisting.
Police identified the man Friday as Robert Raymond, 42, of West Hartford. Police say he had been missing since April 8 when he walked away from his group home.
An autopsy revealed Raymond died of blunt trauma consistent with a fall. Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding Raymond’s death.
