HARTFORD - Summer is coming soon and all this week, we're talking about different camps available in the state.

The CT Camping Association has a directory of both day and overnight camps to help you select a quality camp that's right for both you and your child. They hope to help you create a memorable experience. Not only can you find a camp, you can get advice to see if your child is ready for camp.

American Camp Association, New England is another resource for prospective campers.

Tuesday on the Fox CT Morning Extra, Sarah Cody highlighted SJ Riding Camp, a small camp for girls who are interested in horseback riding.  The camp is also starting a farm program. You can also check the camp's Facebook page.

Monday, Sarah looked at Chinese Mandarin Summer Camp, located at Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, where kids can “study abroad without leaving the county.”
