STAMFORD – Two suspects have been arrested and charged with murder in the 2012 fatal shooting of a Stamford man, Stamford Police said this morning.

23-year-old Randy Francis of Sterling Place in Stamford and 22-year-old Glachan “Lou” Charlestin of Marion Street in Bridgeport were arrested overnight. Bonds are set at 2.5 million dollars on each.

Shortly after midnight on July 8, 2012, four men were shot on Custer Street after leaving a party. One of the men, Darius Jones, was shot in the chest and succumbed to his injuries, while the other three victims were treated at Stamford Hospital and released.

Stamford Police say they were unable to obtain enough cooperation from possible witnesses to arrest the men at the time of the shooting. Over the past 2 1/2 years the case was slowly developed and enough information gathered to issue arrest warrants for both men.

Stamford Police have scheduled a press conference for later today.
