WALLINGFORD — A man is expected in Meriden Superior Court Thursday morning, accused in what police are calling a robbery spree.

Dustin Chasse, 25, was arrested at his Clintonville Road home Wednesday night. Police said Chasse robbed the Pit Stop convenience store gas station on Woodhouse Avenue at around 8:00 p.m.

Police said they believe Chasse entered the store with his face covered and threatened the clerk with a rifle demanding money. When detectives watched surveillance video of the Pit Stop incident, they connected the suspect’s description to an attempted robbery at Primo Pizza on North Colony Road on Sunday night.

According to the Wallingford Police Department, detectives were able to develop probable cause that Chasse was responsible for both the Pit Stop robbery and the Primo Pizza attempted robbery.

Police have not said specifically how they were able to connect Chasse to the crimes.

Chasse was held on $300,000 bond ($150,000 for each incident).
