Friend of Fox CT, Muscular Dystrophy Association passes away at age 34

NORTH HAVEN–A young woman known for her contagious smile and tireless fight for a cure for Muscular Dystrophy lost her battle with the muscular degenerative disease on Saturday.

Marissa “Princess” Adinolfi, 34, passed away in her home surrounded by family and friends.

She was a friend to Fox CT, often seen at events for Connecticut’s Muscular Dystrophy Association, where she sparkled in her well-known gowns.

Marissa spent the last 10 years of her life volunteering with the Muscular Dystrophy Association of North Haven and actively fundraised through the “Fill-a-Boot” campaign, the “Poker Run,” “Stride Ride Walk” at Mohegan Sun, and her annual trips to the MDA Summer Camp.
