GRANBY — An East Granby man has been charged in connection with an accident involving an armored truck that killed his 14-month-old son.
Granby police said Thursday that 24-year-old Kevin Ayers was charged recently with negligent homicide with a motor vehicle after turning himself in at the police department.
Police say Ayers crashed his car head-on into an armored truck on Route 20 in Granby last October. His son, Landon, who was strapped into a child safety seat in the back seat, later died at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford.
Two people in the armored truck suffered minor injuries.
