SOUTH WINDSOR–An event dedicated to man’s best friend having some fun? You better believe it!

The South Windsor Junior Chamber is hosting Paws in the Park on Saturday, May 2.

The event is being held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is hosted by the VCA Animal Hospitals. Admission is free for all, but all dogs must be on a leash.

The event is happening at the Rotary Pavilion at Nevers Park may be dedicated to our furriest family members, but it’s more than just play–it will be educational for dog-owners as well.

There will be booths set up by businesses that service dogs, such as breeders ,trainers, groomers, vets and food companies. The vendors can have a booth, or utilize display banners, doggie bags, business card ads and more. Shelters and rescue facilities get free booths.

As for the fun, there w ill be an obedience training rally course, a skills contest and more!

Fox CT’s own Brent Hardin and Tony Terzi will judge the contests, which mostly take place from 11-12.
