HARTFORD - Wednesday night near the Willie Ware Community Center on Windsor Street, an unnamed 26-year-old woman and her mother were taking their regular evening walk.

The daughter was shot in the neck and critically wounded.

When her daughter was hit, her mother felt helpless. Though her daughter is healing nicely, she still has a long road to recovery.

Reverend Henry Brown, a tireless advocate for change in Hartford, is pleading on the family's behalf for people who may have seen something to step forward.
