LOS ANGELES — Floyd Mayweather won the ‘fight of the century’ against Manny Paccquiao Saturday night. But Former rap mogul “Suge” Knight, accused in a deadly hit-and-run, may be the biggest winner of all.
The Los Angeles times reports that Matthew Fletcher, Knight’s attorney, said (before the fight) that if Mayweather won, he expected the boxer to cover Knight’s $10 million bail.
The LA Times reached out to Knight after the fight to find out if “Suge” would soon be set free, but representatives haven’t answered their calls.
Fletcher said Mayweather and Knight are longtime friends.
In February, “Suge” pleaded not guilty to murder charges for the alleged hit-and-run incident. His court appearances have been full of drama. Knight has been taken to the hospital and even collapsed in court more than once.
