The Connecticut Post reports that Bridgeport Superior Court Judge Robin Pavia eliminated bail for 18-year-old Luis Campozano of the Bronx, New York, on Friday, despite objections by prosecutors. The judge cited Campozano’s young age, his family support and lack of a criminal record.

Pavia ordered Campozano to undergo mental health treatment and stay away from the alleged victim. His case was continued to May 29.

Campozano was charged with first-degree sexual assault Friday for allegedly sodomizing a female student at an off-campus party.

Campozano’s response to the allegations isn’t clear. A phone listing for him couldn’t be found.
