Man shot in face, second Stamford shooting in two days

STAMFORD – A man was shot multiple times in the face and arm Thursday night.

Police said the victim, 19, was shot in face and arms three times.

The shooting happened near Smith St and Mill River St in Stamford and police said it could be related to a previous argument between the suspect and the victim.

The victim was transported to Stamford Hospital and later to Yale – New Haven Hospital.

Police are looking for a black male, driving a dark-colored Dodge Charger.

Police said an unrelated vehicle was also shot at twice, but the driver was not injured.

The victim is in stable condition.

This is the second shooting in Stamford on Wednesday and police are concerned about the number of shootings.

Another male was shot on Alden Street in Stamford on Thursday. Police said he was also ambushed.

The victim in that incident was shot and the bullet pierced his liver, but is expected to survive.
