HARTFORD – Sunday, May 10 is Mother’s Day, and quite a few establishments in Connecticut have set up deals and specials in order to celebrate her.

All deals listed below are good only on Sunday, May 10, and are in alphabetical order by Connecticut town.

Happy Mother’s Day to all, and hopefully this list will help you make this Mother’s Day as great as possible for your mom!


Carbone’s Kitchen: Mother’s Day specials; 12 p.m. – 6 p.m.; 860-904-2111

Offers specials of fresh bucatini with lobster fra diavolo; baked fluke oreganata, veal osso buco and coconut cheesecake with raspberry sauce.


Barley Vine: Mother’s Day tasting menu; Open at 1 p.m.; 860-589-0239

Offers a three-course tasting menu, paired with wine, for $45. The menu includes canapes, boneless pan-roasted chicken and strawberry cheesecake, and Mom will also receive a box of chocolates from Fascia’s in Waterbury and gifts from T Salon and MF Training, while supplies last. Reservations are required.

The Willows at the Doubletree Hilton Hotel: Mother’s Day brunch; 11 a.m. – 3 p.m; 860-584-7673

The menu includes pastries, breakfast items, a Belgian buttermilk waffle station, carving station, main courses of filet of lemon sole and hibachi-style grilled chicken, salads, vegetable sides and a dessert display. Cost is $39 for adults, $14 for children under 12. Reservations are suggested.


Baci Grill: Mother’s Day buffet; 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.; 860-613-2224

Chef-attended omelet station, carving station with prime rib and ham, eggs Benedict, waffles and French toast and entrees of penne a la vodka, pork bracciola, baked stuffed sole, stuffed chicken breast, BBQ baby back ribs and eggplant parmesan. Cost is $29.95 for adults; $13 for children ages 4 to 11 and free for children 3 and under. Reservations are required.


Lisa’s Crown & Hammer Pub: Mother’s Day special; 12 p.m. – 10 p.m.; 860-693-9199

Serving its regular menu in addition to a market-priced warm grilled lobster salad (grilled tail and butter-poached claws with bacon vinaigrette served on early spring watercress.) Reservations are recommended.


Angelico’s Lake House: Mother’s Day buffet; Seatings at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.; 960-267-1276

The buffet includes an omelet station, waffles, French toast, carving station, smoked salmon, crab cakes, seafood rice paella, herb-roasted lamb with roasted garlic, baked rigatoni with sausage and peas and additional chef surprises. Cost is $28.95 for adults, $13.95 for children 5 to 12 and free for children under 5. A la carte dinner service is available at 5 p.m.


Connecticut Trolley Museum: Moms ride free when accompanied by a paying child.

J. Gilbert’s: Mother’s Day menu; 11 a.m. – 8 p.m.; 860-659-0409

Offers a special $42 three-course prix-fixe menu with choice of salad or crab bisque, main course and dessert. Entrée options include a 6-ounce center cut filet, petite filet with seared sea scallops or crab cake, 14-ounce bone-in pork chop, seared sea scallops with lobster risotto and maple-roasted salmon.

Rooftop 120: Mother’s Day brunch; 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.; 860-430-9989

Special menu and cocktails. Menu items include house-cured gravlax and bagel, steak and eggs, Grand Marnier French toast, lobster roll and lobster cobb salad. Entrees are $10.50 to $20.75.

Serves spring seasonal brunch dishes with special cocktails. Reservations are suggested.

Harriet Beecher Stowe Center: Moms get free admission, plus 15% off all Museum Store gifts and books.

Vito’s by the Park: Mother’s Day brunch; 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m

Food stations featuring antipasto, shrimp cocktail and raw bar, eggs to order, desserts and a build-your-own Bloody Mary bar. Cost is $38.95 for adults, $15.95 for children 10 and under. Tax, gratuity and beverages are extra.


The New Britain Museum of Art: Moms get free admission; 860-229-0257


Bee & Thistle Inn: Mother’s Day Luncheon; 12 p.m. – 3 p.m.; 855-434-1667

The menu includes soup and salad, entrée and dessert; entrée choices include pan-roasted salmon with pea-mint puree, grilled beef tenderloin, lobster quiche with tarragon cream sauce and roasted chicken breast with preserved lemon. Cost is $58 plus tax and gratuity; children under 12 are $27.50.


Saybrook Point Inn: Mother’s Day Buffet; 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.’ 1-800-243-0212

Features breakfast items (malted waffles, local lobster crab cake with poached egg, breakfast meats); chef-prepared frittatas, carving station, seafood, antipasto, salads, pastas, hot entrees and a dessert display. Cost is $49.95 for adults, $24.95 for children 5 to 12; free for children under 5. The inn also offers special Mother’s Day overnight and spa packages.


Madison Beach Hotel: Mother’s Day brunch; 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; 203-350-0014

Continental display of fruit, cheese, seafood and vegetable mezze; salads, cooked-to-order omelets; entrees like slow-roasted steamship of veal, chicken Romano, seafood-stuffed sole and beef stroganoff; and a dessert display. Adults are $45; children 6 to 12 are $23. Reservations are required.


Old Sturbridge Village: Moms get free admission and a special gift while supplies last.

Offers specials of crabmeat-stuffed jumbo shrimp ($28; surf and turf with petite filet mignon and crabmeat stuffed shrimp ($34) and grilled swordfish ($30) in addition to its regular menu.


Quercibella: Mother’s Day brunch; 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.; 860-238-4261

The menu starts with organic berries and ricotta-lemon fritters, and entrees include Monte Cristo French toast, liège-style Belgian waffles with fruit, breakfast flatbread, migas mole frittata, create-your-own three-egg omelet and surf and turf eggs Benedict with beef tenderloin and buttered lobster. Cost is $21 per person; a credit card is required to reserve.


Kensington’s at the Spa at Norwich Inn: Mother’s Day brunch; 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.; 860-425-3630

The menu features a chef-attended omelet station, display of Cato Corner Farm cheeses, breakfast entrees, soups and salads, raw bar, carving station; hot food buffet with haddock, Jamaican jerk pork loin and baked manicotti and a dessert display. Kids enjoy their own buffet with chicken fingers, mac and cheese and mini hot dogs. Brunch is $39.95 for adults; $14.95 for children ages 5 to 10. Tax and gratuity are extra.


Metro Bis: Mother’s Day menu; 12 p.m.- 8 p.m.; 860-651-1908

Offers a three-course menu from noon to 8 p.m. Entrée choices include grilled swordfish, braised short ribs, pan-seared salmon, grilled rack of lamb and pan-seared Maryland crab cakes. Cost is $46.95 (plus tax, gratuity and beverages) for adults; $15.95 for children 10 and younger. Call for reservations.

Millwrights: Mother’s Day special; 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.; 860-651-5500

Three-course prix fixe menu served from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Entrée options include roasted chicken, lobster cake Benedict, ricotta gnocchi, roast salmon and beef tournedos. Cost is $60 for adults; $25 for children under 12.


Cava: Mother’s Day dinner; Opens at 12 p.m.; 860-628-2282

Regular menu and special additions including surf and turf, Chilean sea bass, and rosemary lamb chops. Mothers receive a complimentary rose.


Mill on the River: Mother’s Day dinner; 12 p.m.- 6 p.m.; 860-289-7929

Three-course prix-fixe dinner. Entrée choices include roast prime rib, grilled salmon, redfish Nouvelle, honey-glazed Virginia ham, oven-roasted Australian lamb, baked stuffed shrimp and more. Cost is $35.95, plus tax and gratuity. Items are available for children 12 and younger for $18.95. Parties of nine or more will be offered a Mother’s Day buffet. The restaurant will not serve its traditional Sunday brunch on this date.


Mohegan Sun: Mother’s Day dining specials; all day

A tasting menu at Todd English’s Tuscany ($60 for 4 courses; $90 with optional wine pairing); twin lobster tails ($48) or braised lamb shank with spring pea risotto ($42) at BALLO Italian; and strawberry frosted flake pancakes, crab cake Benedict and sausage waffle at Hash House A Go Go.


Arugula Bistro: Mother’s Day brunch; 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.; Dinner 4 p.m.- 8 p.m.; 860-561-4888

Avert Brasserie: Mother’s Day brunch buffet; 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.; 860-904-6240

Offerings include breakfast items (Belgian waffles with blueberry compote, scrambled eggs with grated Gruyere); cold selections like salads, oysters on the half shell, cheeses and French charcuterie; and family-style dishes of coq au vin, salmon and roasted sirloin. Cost is $40 for adults.

Entrée choices include eggs Benedict with filet mignon or smoked salmon on a potato cake, baked brioche French toast with vanilla and orange custard, prime rib with a trio of sauces, blue crab omelet or porcini-crusted filet mignon. A children’s menu is available for $18.95. Tax, gratuity and beverages are extra.

Pond House Café: Mother’s Day brunch; 9:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.; 860-231-8823

Offerings include a carving station, omelet and Benedict station; waffles, French toast and pancakes; breakfast items; a savory station with seafood jambalaya, pulled pork and sweet potato burrito and mushroom Wellington; breads, desserts and candy. Juice, soda and coffee are included in the meal price. Cost is $43.80 for adults; $22.15 for children ages 3 to 11, plus tax and gratuity.
