GLASTONBURY — Police are investigating a body that was found in the Connecticut River on May 9.
Glastonbury police say they received a report of a body floating in the Connecticut river near the Glastonbury shore at around 7 p.m. They then recovered the body near Welles Street.
The man was identified as Noel Hernandez, 49, of Hartford. The body was sent to the medical examiner to find the cause of death.
It is not yet known how the victim ended up in the water.
Police are considering the incident an untimely death.
