Driver involved in school bus accident in Manchester cited for distracted driving

MANCHESTER--State Police cited the driver of a school bus involved in a crash Tuesday for distracted driving.

The bus, from Bolton Elementary School, crashed with two passenger cars on I-384 Westbound between exits 3 and 4 around 4 p.m. It was on its way to Hartford. The right and center lanes were closed, and the scene took about two hours to clear.

bus crashThere were 26 students on board at the time and two adults, but only minor injuries were reported. There was a child and adult in one of the passenger cars, and an adult in the second car.

Michael St Martin, the bus driver, was cited for distracted driving and failure to drive at a reasonable distance.
