HARTFORD – Hartford Police Department Vice and Narcotics Unit and State Police Narcotics Task Force (SNTF) are announcing a major drug bust that took place Thursday evening.

Police say they arrested two men while they were conducting a large drug deal on New Britain Ave.

Michael Kelley, 34, of Plainville was found in possession of about 320 grams of crack cocaine and cash. Eduardo Zayes, 31, of Hartford was found in possession of cash. Police say as they continued to investigate, they were led to several “stash houses” in the greater Hartford region.

In all police confiscated:

  • $50,000 in U.S. Currency
  • 10 grams raw heroin as well as 50 bags of heroin
  • 4 kilogram of powder and crack cocaine as well as approximately 372 grams of crack cocaine
  • 5 pounds of marijuana
  • Raven arms .25 Caliber handgun
  • 2014 Nissan Altima Blue
  • 2002 GMC Denali Green

Zayes is a convicted felon. This was his ninth arrest. This is Kelley’s first arrested. They both face several charges.
