We then slowly bring temperatures back up as we head into the weekend. A warm front will cross the region with the chance for a few showers early Saturday morning ahead of that warm front. Once the sun comes out in the afternoon, you will notice the humidity on the rise, giving you that summer feel. By Sunday, high temps will top 80 degrees with sunshine. A back door cold front will usher in slightly cooler air on Monday when temperatures will stay in the comfortable 70s. Another cold front will arrive Tuesday with a few more showers.
It has been very dry lately; in fact, the last time Connecticut received a soaking rain, was back on April 21st with many lakes, rivers and brooks running well below normal; so much-needed rain is welcome and luckily there is the chance for a bit of rain, but it won't be much. Saturday morning a few showers will be around the area as a warm front lifts through. The day does not look like a washout, although some towns may see a bit of very beneficial rainfall.
