MIDDLETOWN – A Portland man was arrested on breach of peace charges at his home after an incident at a Middletown doctor’s office.

Employees of Middlesex Orthopedic Surgeons reported that an irate client, Frank Fazzino, 52, abruptly came into the office and refused to leave the waiting room, according to police.

Fazzino stated he had an appointment but his appointment had been canceled because he had recently changed insurance providers and the office was no longer able to provide him services.

Fazzino began recording his conversation with one employee and began using profanity and yelling at the staff, witnesses told police.

Witnesses said Fazzino then left the office for about five minutes to make a phone call. He returned to the office after the call demanding his medical records.

After being given his records, Fazzino continued yelling at the staff while attempts were made to calm him down, witnesses said.

A physician’s assistant brought Fazzino into a conference room in a further attempt to calm him down and to remove him from the front lobby, where he was disturbing other clients.

He walked out of the office and towards the exit, but only after threatening the office with the statement, ” If you were smart you won’t be here later,” according to witnesses.

The business pressed charges against Fazzino and requested he be barred from the property. He was arrested at his home on High Street in Portland for breach of peace.

Fazzino is being held on a $10,000 bond.
