HARTFORD – People who received tickets last Thursday will have them dismissed because of a parking meter service interruption.
The Hartford Parking Authority said Wednesday there was a four hour service interruption and customers were unable to pay with a credit card. Parking enforcement staff were not told of the outage and issued tickets for a time.
The Parking authority said they will dismiss any tickets issued and refund any tickets that were already paid. They said the malfunction was caused by problem in the automated banking system.
