Route 8 south in Naugatuck reopens after accident

UPDATE: The highway has reopened.

NAUGATUCK–Route 8 in the southbound direction is closed between exits 28 and 27.

The two-vehicle accident occurred around 9:54 p.m.

It’s unknown how long it will take to clear the scene.
