GLASTONBURY - Lauryn Wendus was 23 years old, working hard in private equity and corporate finance.

After suffering vision problems while driving, she sought medical help and was diagnosed with Lyme disease that had progressed extensively. At a time when she could've become depressed —- young, homebound and in pain — she made a decision to focus on the positive and discovered a new, unexpected path.
