HARTFORD — A car crashed into the popular Wood-n-Tap restaurant early Wednesday morning.

The restaurant located at the corner of Capitol Avenue and Sisson Avenue, had extensive damage after a car slammed into the front side of the building. The front vestibule was damaged along with some portions of the patio.

Police said the driver of the car ran away. Before the car was able to be towed they have to wait on the building inspector to ensure it’s OK to tow. There are no injuries.

The owners of the restaurant were on the scene and said that they plan on opening today unless the building inspector say they can’t. The owners recently did some outside work around the building.
