MERIDEN – Police are looking for the driver of a car they say was involved in a crash that left a motorcycle rider in critical condition.

Police said they recovered a blue Mazda3 Tuesday that they believe was involved in a North Avenue accident Sunday, where Anthony Wilson was seriously injured. The driver of the car left the scene.

The car was found by officers on Griswold Street and taken to the police department for processing. Police said they have strong leads that will help them identify a suspect.

Police are asking witnesses to the accident to call Officer Christian Rodriguez at (203) 630-6215 or Lt. Thomas Cossette at (203) 630-6256.
