WEST HAVEN – The driver of a Chevy pickup who appeared to be under the influence or possibly suffering from a medical condition hit a total of 15 vehicles before being taken the hospital.
According to police, just before 1 p.m. Saturday afternoon the driver struck a parked occupied vehicle in the parking lot behind American Legion Hall located on Main Street.
The driver continued traveling east on Main Street, hitting several more vehicles. The driver continued hitting cars on Washington Avenue before finally coming to a stop near Washington Manor.
Medical attention was rendered to the occupants of the vehicles struck on Main Street near Washington Avenue for minor injuries.
The investigation is continuing and charges may be forthcoming if warranted.
