NORWALK – Fire crews put out a fire in a home late Friday evening.

Crews were called to 8 Lighthouse Ln.  at 10:30 p.m. Friday evening and found the entire left side of the home on fire with flames extending into the attic space. Although most of the fire was put out quickly, firefighters took an hour to make sure it had not extended into other parts of the house.

Three adults and a dog home escaped the fire and call 9-1-1. The home was declared unfit for occupancy and the cause is being investigated.
