AMITY--This past weekend eight CIAC state titles were handed out in softball and baseball. Two champions chalked up their third straight title.
On the boys side the Spartans of Amity defeated the Staples Wreckers 8-1. From the softball diamond, the Southington Blue Knights not only won a third straight title but also pushed the team's winning streak to 70 games.
