WINDSOR – A young bear tried to follow a woman into her office in an industrial park on Saturday. According to Michael Lindsey, one of his employees at Lindsey Limousine heard a noise outside at a dumpster.

She saw a black bear when she rounded the corner, and it started to follow her as she turned and ran back into the building. When she was safely inside, the bear stood on its hind legs and looked in the window as employees took pictures.

Lindsey said DEEP personnel told him the bear had been tagged in February in Unionville about 20 miles away. The bear was likely a year and a half old.

“He is dressed in all black, so we might think about putting to work as a chauffeur the next time he shows up,” Lindsey joked.

Norwalk Police posted a report of a black bear on Brierwood Road Tuesday morning on their Facebook page.  Police urged anyone who spots a bear to keep their distance and call police.
