NEW LONDON--Hurricane season is here, and we're taking a trip down memory lane for a look back at one of our region's most historic storms.

It's been considered, by many, to be the worst storm to hit our shores. Chronicled in books, newspapers and newsreels, the hurricane of 1938 took many sleepy New England towns by surprise.

On this week's Hidden History, photojournalist  Mike Townsend takes us to New London to hear from a survivor of the landmark storm.
