Police shoot, kill man who stabbed officer on Brooklyn subway platform: sources

BROOKLYN, New York – A man was shot and killed after stabbing a police officer on a Brooklyn subway platform Thursday afternoon, a law enforcement source told PIX11.

The man attacked the officer on the Q train platform at the Ocean Parkway subway station, located near Sea Breeze Avenue and & West 1st Street.

The officer, who suffered a stab wound to the neck, was rushed to Lutheran Hospital, sources said.  His condition is not yet known.

The suspect, who hasn’t been identified, fell to the tracks and was pronounced dead at the scene.
