MERRIMACK, NH – A Windsor man was arrested on assault, attempted kidnapping, and other charges after police said he grabbed a teen girl and threw her on the ground outside an outlet mall rest room.

Police said Desmond Mighty, 25, of Windsor was charged with attempted kidnapping, assault, threatening, possession of a concealed firearm, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, false imprisonment, and criminal restraint.

Police said a teenage girl was exiting the restroom of the Merrimack Premium Outlet Mall when a man she did not know grabbed her, threw her to the ground and pinned her so she could not move. She started screaming and someone else in the area attempted to intervene, according to police. The man ran off, and the victim and the witness were able to give mall security a description of the suspect.

When police arrived, they detained Mighty and he was identified as the suspect. A search of his vehicle revealed marijuana packaged for sale and two loaded firearms.

Mighty was held on $100,000 bail and is scheduled to be arraigned in Merrimack District Division on Thursday.
