DANBURY-- A nanny accused of child abuse will be required to be at her next court appearance, September 3, despite arguments that she is going through a high-risk pregnancy.

A Danbury Superior Court judge ruled Tuesday that Lidia Quilligana, 32, will have to provide medical documentation for him to reconsider.

Quilligana's attorney said her client is four months pregnant and that rides to court and then back to jail are painful.

Quilligana is facing 15 more counts of risk of injury to a minor after detectives and prosecutors more thoroughly reviewed video from a nanny cam, which led to her initial arrest. Police said the video shows Quilligana burning a 3-year-old girl's hands on a hot stove and repeatedly slapping her across the face.

According to court documents, Quilligana also abused the girl's 1-year-old twin brother and sister.
