NEW HAVEN – Police are investigating a fatal shooting that happened early Friday morning. The victim has been identified as Jerome Myers, 47, of New Haven.
“Most I could really say is he was a funny guy, always had jokes tried to bring people up. Very uplifting,” said his daughter, Rayna Myers.
Family tells us Myers did not live near where the shooting happened at Liberty Street between Carlisle and Putnam Streets.
Police responded at 12:26 a.m. to a 911 call – detectives have been following leads since and continue their investigation of this incident.
