HARTFORD–A former state trooper has been sentenced after being convicted of sexually assaulting an elderly woman.
Former State Police Trooper Jeffrey LaPorto pleaded no contest to one count of first-degree sexual assault of an 81-year-old woman.
The Hartford Justice Department’s Criminal Clerk’s Office tells Fox CT he was sentenced today to 10 years in jail, though his sentence can be suspended after he serves two years. He will then face 10 years of probation.
