UNCASVILLE — Tamika Catchings had 26 points and 10 rebounds, including the 3,000th of her career, to help the Indiana Fever held off Connecticut 92-84 on Tuesday night to snap the Sun’s seven-game winning streak.

Indiana led by as many as 23 points in the third quarter but the Sun stormed back, pulling within 85-82 on Alex Bentley’s 3-pointer with 1:05 remaining. But the Fever (4-6) made 7 of 8 free throws down the stretch to seal it.

Catchings made her first six field goals of the game, missing her first at the 8:03 mark of the fourth quarter. She finished 9 of 10 from the floor. With her 10th rebound, she became the fourth player in the WNBA history to reach 3,000 rebounds.

Kelsey Bone scored 21 points to lead Connecticut (7-2) before being ejected with 1:05 remaining in the game for a flagrant 2 foul.
