NEW YORK–U-S-A, all the way!

That will be the chant heard ’round the city come Friday. On July 10, a ticker-tape parade will be held in Manhattan to honor the recent U.S. Women’s Soccer Team for the recent World Cup win.

The U.S. defeated Japan on Sunday 5-2.

The parade will start at 11 a.m., and will go along the Canyon of the Heroes route, which starts at Bowling Green and goes uptown to City Hall Park. A ceremony will be held at City Hall after the parade.

On Tuesday, Los Angeles held a rally to honor the newest world champions.

There have been 205 previous ticker-tape parades in New York City, with the most recent occurring in 2012 to honor the New York Giants after the team won Super Bowl XLVI.
