ANSONIA--Officials confirm a person died in a house fire in Ansonia on Tuesday evening.
The fire occurred on Colony Road, and it was reported around 5:20 p.m.
Two people were home when the fire started, however a 51-year-old man did not make it out alive. A woman did manage to escape, and was out when fire crews arrived on the scene.
The fire took 15-20 minutes to knock down.
The cause is being investigated.
